High or Low

Objective

Predict whether the next card drawn from the deck will be higher or lower in value than the current card. Build the longest correct streak you can before the deck runs out or you guess wrong.

Card Values

Cards are ranked from lowest to highest: A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K. Aces are always low (value 1) and Kings are the highest (value 13).

Rules

• You are shown a card from a standard 52-card deck
• Guess whether the next card will be higher or lower
• If the next card has the same value, it counts as a correct guess either way
• A correct guess adds to your streak and the revealed card becomes the new current card
• A wrong guess ends your streak
• The game ends when the deck runs out or you choose to start a new game

Controls

• H or ↑ — Guess Higher
• L or ↓ — Guess Lower
• N — New Game

Tips

• If the current card is low (A–5), guessing Higher is statistically safer
• If the current card is high (9–K), guessing Lower is a better bet
• Middle cards (6–8) are the trickiest — the odds are close to even
• Pay attention to cards already played to improve your odds
